Cowboys defender Dak Prescott spoke highly of the seniors who showed his team’s defeat of the 23-17 and 49ers on Sunday afternoon.
Now, after some reasoning, and public criticism, he apologizes.
I am very sorry for what I said about the officials after the game on Sunday.
I was overcome with emotionally drained and my words were unimportant and unjust.

Prescott offered ‘credit’ to Cowboys fans for throwing things at players after Dallas’ failed to return.
His comments were widely criticized throughout the NFL region. It also reached out to the NBA team, leading the NBA Referees Association to the defense of the NFL Referees Association.
“NBRA condemns what Dak Prescott said about inciting violence against sports officials,” the council said via Twitter Tuesday. “As the leader of the NFL, he should know better. We urge the NFL to take action to end this scourge in the future.”

The Cowboys, who advanced the ball to the 24-yard line in San Francisco with eight seconds to go, were unable to break the ball after an official ran into the Cowboys’ frustrated line, preventing them from playing another game.
After the game, when asked about his thoughts on fans throwing trash on the field, believing he was doing it for the Cowboys players, he said, “No one wants to win more than we want to win,” Prescott said earlier. The word ‘lover,’ meaning “fanatic.” But knowing all that we put into this, every day, we have tried so hard, no one comes to the game wanting to expect or lose. to be our helper and to be with us in adversity and in adversity, it is difficult. ”

Prescott should not be criticized by the NFL for his comments. The league imposed sanctions on players and coaches in the past for criticizing senior officials, with fines ranging from $ 12,500- $ 25,000. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
Prescott, who was quick to criticize the authorities for the Cowboys’ defeat of the 49ers, has been widely criticized for helping the Cowboys to a final, including former Cowboys receiver and Podcast Network co-founder Isaiah Stanback.

“Dak did a good job of pushing down as much as he could, I think he reached the 23-yard line,” Stanback said. “He went down, he went down. When he comes up, you usually want to give the ball to the ball player. The player has to touch the ball before he passes. This was the number one mistake.
He said: “When you go back and see how the ball is fired, the referee puts his hand on the ball four seconds before the start. to pass it and shake it, time ran out. ”
Time will tell if Prescott will be punished for his comments.
