Farah Khan appeared on the Kapil Sharma Show on the same Sunday as Raveena Tandon. The two were happy to chat at the show. The artist talked about Deewangi Deewangi’s unique song from Om Shanti Om, which featured many Bollywood stars.
Farah regretted that several stars could not be part of the song. She revealed that Raveena could not take part in the song because she was pregnant. The songwriter added that he also wanted former actor Amitabh Bachchan to appear in the song but left. “Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan got married the same month, that’s what he told us,” Farah said.
Farah also wanted the well-known Dev Anand to appear in the song, but told her, “I do not make the appearance of strangers.” The artist went back to Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu and also revealed that Shah Rukh had promised to bring them, but things did not work out.
Farah also explained that the song was shot in an orderly and systematic manner with five stars being sung daily and given two hours each. He went on to say that he and producer Manish Malhotra went to everyone’s house to convince them to be a part of Deewangi Deewangi’s song. “Kuch log plus-one mein aa gaye (Some people came as extras),” he laughed.
