FRIDAY, Jan. 14, 2022 (HealthDay News) – Face masks is regarded as an important tool in preventing the spread of COVID-19, and new research provides further evidence that it works.
Researchers in Florida found that eye masks reduce the amount of airborne pathogens such as corona virus can walk for more than half.
His findings suggest that others COVID-19 remote control can be more comfortable when people wear masks, according to the authors.
“This study provides clear evidence that a three-foot-long distance with a face mask is better than 1-meter distance without a face mask,” said study author Kareem Ahmed. He is an assistant professor at the University of Central Florida’s Department of Mechanical and Aviation.
Za ku learning, Ahmed and his colleagues used special instruments to measure the distance on all sides where drops and aerosols traveled from 14 people, ages 21 to 31, speaking and coughing while wearing various types of masks or no masks.
Each student repeated the words and compared a cough for five minutes without a face mask, with a face mask and cloth, and with a three-layer surgical mask.
Exhaustion produced by those who spoke or coughed spread four feet on all sides when they did not have a mask, compared to about two feet when they wore a face mask and about six inches wearing a surgical mask, the researchers found.
The study was published in Jan. 12 mu Journal of Infectious Diseases.
Learning more about how to reduce the spread of airborne diseases can help keep people safe and improve response to COVID-19 and other epidemics, according to researchers.
The result is to expand the study with more participants.
The research idea was based on a team-based jet propulsion survey.
“The principles are the same,” Ahmed said in a school talk. “Our throat and throat are very tired.”
